President: Julie Godfrey
Julie is the founder and president of Godfrey Financial.  She has been serving her clients as a Financial Advisor since 2001.  Julie holds a B.A. in Business Communications and Theatre Arts Management from the University of Redlands.  She is an Investment Advisor Representative and General Securities Registered Representative.  She holds the Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 securities licenses and is a licensed California Life, Disability and Long Term Care insurance agent.  Julie also holds the Chartered Senior Financial Planner (CSFP) designation.

Chief Financial Officer: Matthew King
When Matthew agreed to join Godfrey Financial, he brought with him an extensive background in accounting and finance.

Matthew earned a B.A. in Economics-Accounting and History from Claremont McKenna College in 1998.  After graduation he moved back to San Diego to work as an accountant for manufacturer's representative Admiral Exchange Co., Inc.  After deciding to pursue his MBA at San Diego State University, he spent some time as a licensed (Series 7, Series 55) proprietary trader, where he gained insightful knowledge of the securities markets.

In 2002, Matthew decided to accept the position of Vice President - Controller of his family's business California Memorial Group.  He continues to serve as the company's Chief Financial Officer.

Working with Godfrey Financial, Matthew hopes to help the company achieve their goal of becoming one of the premier Wealth Management firms in Southern California.

Office Manager: Jo  Anne Glover
As an administrator specializing in helping individuals and companies develop effective operating systems and achieve excellence, Jo Anne Glover is thrilled to be part of the Godfrey Financial team.

Jo Anne earned her Bachelor's degree at the University of Texas in Austin.  She has lived in New York City, as well as Los Angeles, where she worked extensively as an administrative assistant for such companies as legal education organization Practising Law Institute, executive placement firm Kenny, Kindler, Tholke, the Walt Disney Company, and writer/actress Theresa Saldana.

Also while in Los Angeles, Jo Anne served as the premier Administrative Manager of Dance Arts Academy, a world class dance facility and school.  During the two years spent at Dance Arts, she developed a highly effective operating system, coordinated signing of contracts, created schedules and handled funds.  She worked as a daily liaison between director, contractors, teachers and students, and helped with fundraising events.

In 2003, Jo Anne moved to San Diego, where she worked for five years in the newsroom of the San Diego Union-Tribune, serving as the primary administrative assistant of the company's archival and research library.

In addition to her work as an assistant, Jo Anne is a founder of the non-profit professional theatre, MOXIE Theatre.  She serves as the Managing Director of the company, performing such duties as negotiating contracts, facilitating scheduling, and ensuring the company's fiscal responsibility.
